Website design
We’re capable of creating a wide variety of custom website designs ranging from elegant single-page interfaces that display just your logo and company information to multi-template masterpieces that allow you to communicate a wealth of information. You are the boss; you tell us exactly what your business needs. Then we listen. Honest.
Here’s how it works…
We’re greatly simplifying it, but here’s the process in a nutshell: We will first take your initial input about colors, fonts, photographs, look and feel, etc. to get a general idea of what you’re after. Then we’ll provide several static (non-functional) mockup designs for you to choose from. Once you’ve chosen a design, we will go through a few revision cycles where we make changes to achieve a final product you’re satisfied with. When the design is finalized, we’ll code it into a set of templates and import them into the CMS you selected. These templates will serve as the framework for your website content and we’ll use them as the building blocks to develop the rest of your site. Read more about our process.
Here’s what you get…
Website designs are delivered as XHTML templates (complete with all required graphics and icons) coded specifically for and imported into the CMS of your choice. A typical site will require only two templates — one for the homepage and one for subpages — but many clients desire a separate look and feel for specific pages, such as the blog or calendar.
Types of sites we design
While we’re not opposed to any type of project, our client base typically includes:
- Small businesses & sole proprietors
- Non-profit organizations
- Churches & youth groups
- Bloggers
- Photographers
- Professional services (doctors, lawyers, etc)
Browser support
Our designs are tested in and guaranteed to be compatible with the following browsers:
- Firefox (Mac/Win/Linux) versions 3
- Safari (Mac/Win) version 4
- Internet Explorer (Win) versions 7 & 8
We can gladly design your site to be compatible any other browser if you feel a significant portion of your target audience will be using it.
Ballpark cost estimations
There’s nothing we hate more than a website advertising services without mentioning prices. Due to the large number of factors involved in designing a website, web developers are notorious for being vague when it comes to costs. We see this as an opportunity to differentiate ourselves and let you know that we’re not here to haggle around and try and screw you out of money just because you have a bigger budget than the next guy. Without further ado, here’s a very rough summary of what a few example websites would cost for us to design, develop, and launch:
| Blog | Small business | Large organization | E-commerce |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 template | 2 templates | 4 templates | 3 templates |
| 5 pages unlimited posts |
15 pages + contact form, gallery |
50 pages + calendar, contact form |
15 pages unlimited products |
| $1200 | $1500 | $2500 | $3500 |
Please understand that each project will be quoted on an individual basis and final cost may differ from these prices for a variety of reasons. There are several ways we can scale a project to fit your budget if absolutely necessary, so don’t be disappointed if you love our work but hate the prices you see above. We’re reasonable people, and while we won’t shortchange ourselves just to earn your business, we will work with you to get you the site you need at a price that’s comfortable on your pocketbook.
